Archaeological Field Work Opportunities

Excavation in the 1950'sInterested in participating in an archaeological project?  Because archaeological work is a team effort, researchers are often in need of people to take part in excavations and other investigations all around the world.  This page provides announcements of field schools and other field work opportunities with projects conducted by Archaeological Research Facility members, and information on where to find out about other research projects, field schools, and related possibilities for participation.

Be aware that qualifications can vary:  participation in some field schools or projects may be limited to UC Berkeley undergraduate and graduate students, while others may be open to students from other institutions or members of the general public.  Also note that these are academic projects, and therefore you will not be paid to take part and you will probably have to bear some cost.  Please read all announcements carefully.
