Lester Rowntree
Dr. Rowntree is Professor of Environmental Studies in the Department of Environmental Studies at San Jose State University and, additionally, a Research Associate in the Department of Anthropology, UC Berkeley. His research activities range from ecological and natural history of coastal California to the historical ecology of the French Pyrenees. Along with his writings on environmental change, the theory and practice of landscape analysis, and the natural history of central coastal California, Professor Rowntree is the senior author of the award-winning book, "Diversity Amid Globalization: World Regions, Environment, Development" (2003 Prentice Hall)
